4951 – SAP Log 5 user authorization setup

Issue Summary: [4951] Error message ‘Value in Discount field is greater than permitted’ appeared when Log5 user applied discount in Delivery document due to missing discount percentage values.

Resolution / Workaround: The issue was resolved by defining the discount percentage as 100% for Max. Discount-Sales, Max. Discount-Purchase and Max. Discount-General under Authorizations for Log5 user, and copying the Authorizations of Log1 user to Log5 user.
