7611 – To create New Item Code

Issue Summary: [7611] Customer requested assistance with creating new item codes for over 1,800 spare parts in a new business unit.

Resolution / Workaround: The support team provided templates and guidance on how to prepare the master data. The customer was instructed to save the files in CSV format and import them into the system. The team also clarified that the ‘Item Code’ field in the Item Master template should be left blank, as the item codes would be automatically generated by the system. After resolving some issues with commas in the item names causing incorrect data for import, the team successfully completed the import of 1,829 item codes into the IMEI production database.
