7868 – Unable to Select G/L Account Code (Payable Output Tax) in Journal Entry

Issue Summary: [7868] The Payable Output Tax account was not visible for selection in Manual Journal Entries, but was available when posting transactions under Banking > Outgoing Payments.

Resolution / Workaround: The issue was resolved by explaining that the behavior is related to the account configuration and Automatic Tax settings. The system prevents manual posting of tax accounts when ‘Automatic Tax’ is checked. To record the payable output tax account through a manual journal entry, the ‘Automatic Tax’ box must be unchecked in the Journal Entry header, and the proper Tax Group must be assigned to the line.
