8260 – Exchange rate differences – the log

Issue Summary: [8260] The client was experiencing differences in exchange rate data between the query and the Exchange Rates and Indexes table, and they wanted to understand why this discrepancy existed.

Resolution / Workaround: The issue was caused by the client’s query referencing the ARTT table (historical log for exchange rates), while the Exchange Rates and Indexes table displayed current active rates from the ORTT table. The support team explained that SAP Business One manages exchange rates using two distinct tables to prevent data redundancy, and guided the client on how to review changed records in the system using the Change Log for specific exchange rate.
