8402 – WARNING MESSAGE “PROJECT ELEMENT EXIST”

Issue Summary: [8402] User encountered a warning message ‘PROJECT ELEMENT EXIST’ when trying to save a project in the Project Planning app, despite renaming original SO#s to WBS numbers.

Resolution / Workaround: The issue was resolved by cloning the integrated project and recreating it using the same project code that is stamped in the VA system. The old project with the incorrect code was then deleted. A workaround approach was applied as a temporary fix until further testing and implementation of revised project code generation logic.
