8352 – Query to SAP: Inability to Save Custom Layouts in “G/L Account Line Item Display G/L View”

Issue Summary: [8352] User unable to save custom layouts within the classic ‘G/L Account Line Item Display G/L View’ app.

Resolution / Workaround: The root cause was identified as a system configuration/design restriction in the S/4HANA Public Cloud system. A workaround was provided using the native SAP Fiori app ‘Display Line Items in General Ledger’, which fully supports modifying columns and saving user-specific layout Views/Variants. Official confirmation of this limitation was sought from SAP Support, but they confirmed that only standard layouts can be saved, and custom layouts cannot be created or saved.
